THUD!

What’s that you say?

Me falling completely down.

I am tired. I am depressed. I am eating too much again.

That direct link of lack of sleep to eating has another direct link - to depression. Lack of sleep has got me on my face trying desperately to get back up again. Talked to hubby today and he will step in on the nights a bit more with eli. Also, just bought a new swaddle blanket. We went from okay sleep to horrible lately and my body and my emotions just aren’t dealing well.

Sorry to be a downer and not around to support you all so much. Am holding onto some hope that this will resolve soon. Good thing is - I recognize the depression now the second it tried to hit me. Still I am knocked down. I am going to that place of debbie = failure. BUT i know enough to call for help and am doing that.

ok gotta go!

I hope the new swaddle blanket helps! Mikayla’s finally gotten to a point where she doesn’t need to be swaddled, but she has to sleep on her side or she wakes up. Here’s prayers that Eli starts sleeping better, and then you as well. Come on Sean! Help out!! Our Debbie needs her rest!! Love you sweetie, chin up!

Who can you reach out to for support right now? How can you get through this rough patch? You don’t have to do it alone.

    Hang in there.

Hey girl! Make sure you’re getting some sun… and some activity… and any little “you” thing you can fit in. Are you getting enough calcium, D, Omega-3 and B-12 (the nutritionist told me that B-12 is the #1 deficit in vegetarians when E. first announce she was no longer promoting the killing of animals for food/clothing)

Eli is taking all that from you (plus more) and those are big building blocks for keeping you going.

thanks y’all! hubby is on it. he is the BEST and will do anything. I just have to ask and not feel guilty.

Tina, funny thing - i crave popcorn when tired and on my popcorn i put nutritional yeast - B12…

If i can just get sleep i will be fine - it’s just that for me - i finally have learned that now if Eli would cooperate - that lil cutie pie…

The joys of motherhood huh? There is the time where you don’t get any sleep because the baby needs the mommy and then there will be the times where the baby is grown and you aren’t getting any sleep because you wonder what they are out doing all night. I am in the blissful in between stage. Paige doesn’t need me during the night any more, but still likes to have mommy close at hand. :)

I feel for ya girl. Let me know if I can help in anyway.

    Hugggggggggggggggggs,

Keep your head up Debbie! I’m sure it is very hard but just remember you do have an awesome support system here. We understand the stress and we understand depression (well a lot of us) so I’m sure we don’t hold it against you that you haven’t been around a lot…although I can’t say much when I haven’t been on here for a few months!

Aww Debbie…I so very much understand where you are with babies and no sleep. It feel like it will never end…but it will.
Sure wish I could help you out and let you nap…

hey debbie I’ll be thinking of you girl. SOmetimes when the depression hits, you just have to roll with it till you start to feel better. It’s tougher for you because you have a little one as well. Get as much help as you can. And see if your husband wouldn’t mind doing the nights over the weekend if he’s not working, so at least you’ll get 2 solid nights sleep.
